Ninjutsu is a bushido tradition tracing its roots back a thousand years to the mountains of Japan. The secretive art developed over the centuries, combining legendarily effective personal defense skills with other diverse skills such as healing, survival, hiding, disguise, intelligence gathering, and many others. The modern art of Ninjutsu is traced back through a lineage of sokes (grand masters) currently headed by Soke Masaaki Hatsumi, of Noda City, Japan.
Ninjutsu training is a way of life known as "Ninpo". Ninpo is not just a system of fighting but more a system of living that can improve any person's life physically, mentally, and spiritually. Through physical conditioning and mental development, Ninjutsu students become better prepared to triumph in any situation. Through repeated training successes students develop self-confidence, self-responsibility, self respect, and self-sufficiency.
